Across these production deployments, Accounts Payable processing accuracy ranged from 97% to 99%, depending on client requirements and transaction types. Organizations reported reductions of up to 80% in manual effort across invoice entry, matching, validation and follow-up. In supplier inquiry management, direct human involvement fell from approximately 80% to approximately 18%.

The organizations had already invested significantly in ERP, procurement and Accounts Payable systems, yet substantial work between those systems remained manual. The challenge was not a lack of technology. It was the manual work still required between technologies.

Invoices arrived through email and shared drives. Staff downloaded attachments, searched for purchase orders, validated information across systems, entered transactions into ERP systems, assigned coding, routed approvals and followed up on exceptions.

The same challenge existed with supplier inquiries. Finance departments received hundreds of emails from suppliers requesting payment status updates, invoice status information and approval updates. Staff had to read each email, log into ERP systems, search for information and manually respond.

HachiAI addressed this through Agentic AI-powered Intelligent Digital Workers (IDWs). These governed digital workers combine AI agents, automation and enterprise integrations to execute end-to-end business processes within the systems organizations already use. Unlike AI assistants that primarily provide information or recommendations, IDWs can interpret information, apply business rules, execute transactions and interact with enterprise applications.

In finance operations, IDWs can receive and validate invoices, match them against purchase orders and receipts, apply organization-specific business rules, post transactions into ERP systems and respond to routine supplier inquiries using current enterprise data. Validation, controls and exception management are built into the process. Work that does not meet defined confidence thresholds is routed to people for review, keeping human judgment in the process where it is required and maintaining an audit trail.

The production deployments span retail, real estate, retirement living and e-commerce. The same technology can extend beyond finance to functions such as procurement, logistics, supply chain and retail operations, allowing organizations to apply Agentic AI to process-intensive work across multiple systems without replacing the enterprise platforms they already own.

“The real test for Agentic AI is whether it can take on real operational work and produce measurable results in production,” said Jahan Ali, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of HachiAI. “Our clients did not lack technology. They lacked capacity. We built Intelligent Digital Workers to work inside the systems companies already own, with controls, human oversight and clear measures of performance. This recognition is meaningful because it reflects tangible business results.”

“We're thrilled to announce the winners of the IDC CIO Awards Canada 2026. This prestigious award celebrates exceptional Canadian organizations that are leveraging technology to drive digital transformation and deliver measurable business value within their organization," said Allice Shandler, Senior Director, Events - Americas at IDC and CIO Awards Canada Program Chair.

"This year's winning projects are not only innovative but also inspiring examples of what's possible when visionary leadership is paired with a highly skilled, future-focused workforce. We are honoured to recognize these achievements and the remarkable individuals behind them at our awards ceremony, which will take place following IDC's CIO Summit Canada event on November 19, 2026, at Delta Hotels Toronto," Shandler added.

HachiAI will be recognized alongside the other 2026 winners at the IDC CIO Summit & Awards Canada 2026 ceremony on November 19, 2026, at Delta Hotels Toronto. The full list of 2026 winners is available in IDC’s official announcement.
